Mexican Restaurant

I usually never have people walk up to me and say anything, most people just stare at me which is kind of uncomfortable. Anyway.... I was eating at a Mexican Restaurant that I literally grew up going to.... they walk up to me and say "the usual" (cheese enchiladas) haha

Anyway, I was about to check out and this lady walks up to me from her table through the restaurant and says kinda loud "OMG I just had to come over here and tell you, you look so much like Angelina Jolie.... the lips the eyes the hair everything it's amazing" I was like thanks... she goes I bet you hear that all the time. I said every once in a while. It was funny because I just had lip gloss and barely any eye liner and that's it. I thought I looked sick.... Maybe I looked like Angelina on Gia haha.

That's a good one!! I too have moments when people come up and tell me that and I'm like, 'Yeah... not today, but thanks!' haha I just have days when I don't feel that I look like her that much. It's sounds silly, but I still feel shy every time I hear "it" ... even though it's been 8 yrs now that I'm aware of her existence and my resemblance. Anyhow. It's flattering when you hear it, nevertheless, haha!

I get compared to her characters and they say I have "this and that" like her, maybe once every week or two. When I'm at work though, I get Liv Tyler a lot. Personally, I do not see any resemblance to Liv, except the face shape but maybe a poor man's Angelina because of my strong features. lol

In the past, I've gotten some really strange comparisons. My friend thinks I look a cross between Lady Gaga and Courtney Love, and I'm not even blond.

I get very shy when I hear it too.. I almost just kind of brush it off ..which seems weird because I post my pictures on this site ..you'd think I would be able to accept the compliment .. I guess it's the "in person" thing.. It always depends on how I dress ..my style is very bohemian I'm a big dead head so lots of flowers and prints ..and hemp and beads so I think it's when I occassionally dress in the black fitted suits or more of the simple outfits black tees and jeans they see angie ... because that is how they see angie in magazines and what not ..the dark hair helps too..but I'll always be the hippie that I am and thats what makes me Melissa ps if I saw any of you gals in a restaurant I myself would not be able to take my eyes off of you either ..with love Melissa Aka KATANA
